Assalam o Alaikum!!
My complaint is for all those UBL Branches in Rawalpindi Specially the branch that is located at Bani Chowk. A few days ago I went to the bank to pay my PTCL bill when I entered the bank there was already a queue maintained by several people I was at the last in queue at that time.
It took me 40 minutes to reach to the counter so that I could pay my bill but Unfortunately, the accountant said: the system is not responding and she left the computer and me and went upstairs I don’t know but for some reason. When she came down again I was still standing there she came to look at the computer and made an accouncement that
“For those people who have checks to be cashed can give me I will give them cash and enter the record in the computer later when the computer responds”
Okay this above announcement was good for some customers. When I again asked her that how can I pay my Bill now ?? She replied to me no you can’t with some attitude. I asked her If she could take the bill from me and manually accept it and enter the record in the computer later like she said in the announcement. But she again with attitute/ego said no. I don’t have the stamp to do so.
My question is for example: If the internet in Pakistan gets down for 2 or 3 weeks or so what would you guyz do then. All your work/ Transactions are getting online now a days but if that kind of situation occurs then what will the bank do ?? and how will they treat the customers then ?? I also asked these questions from the accountant but she became angry and pointed at the BM. But Unfortunately the Branch Manager was too busy with his mobile phone that he didn’t even noticed what was happening in the bank.
NOTE: Every branch must have an alternative way to treat customers. The bank should not rely on Online service too much. If the system gets busy or not responds at that time they should have an Alternative way to treat customer with best possible service at that time. because It took me 40 minutes to reach the counter. I’m a young boy I can stand for 40 minutes or so but what if there was an old man OR a disable person standing there and when he reached the counter after long time the accountant reply: Sorry you can’t pay the bill etc OR we are unable to provide you service at this time.

Hope you guyz understand what my complaint is about.
