On 19 August 2026 at 16:14, an amount of Rs. 1,950/- was deducted from my JazzCash account (Transaction ID: 721192385584) in the name of “EFU Life Assurance Ltd” insurance premium. I never subscribed to, authorized, or consented to any EFU insurance policy. I did not sign any form, agree to any terms, or provide verbal/written consent for this deduction.
Prior to the deduction, I received promotional SMS messages from a Jazz number regarding EFU insurance, but at no point did I opt in or confirm subscription to this service. Despite this, the amount was deducted directly from my JazzCash mobile account without my knowledge or approval.
This is a clear case of unauthorized deduction, and unfortunately, based on similar complaints I have seen from other JazzCash users, this appears to be a recurring practice by EFU Life Assurance in partnership with JazzCash — enrolling customers into insurance plans without proper, verifiable consent and deducting funds directly from their mobile wallets.
Desired Resolution:
Immediate cancellation/deregistration of the unauthorized EFU insurance policy linked to my JazzCash account
Full refund of Rs. 1,950/- to my JazzCash account
Written confirmation that no further deductions will be made without my explicit, verifiable consent
Investigation into how my consent was obtained (or not obtained) for this subscription
I am attaching my transaction receipt as proof. I expect a prompt resolution and refund, and I reserve the right to escalate this matter to SECP (Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan) and PTA if not resolved satisfactorily.
