AoA, I am Habib ur Rahman Abbasi From I 10/1 Islamabad. My A/C No. is 15310-1 City Branch Rawalpindi. Today I present a cheque numbered 4247271 amounting Rs 50,000 at NBP I 10 Markaz Branch Islamabad for encashment. The cashier claimed Rs 70 cash for this transaction and no any receipt/circular/ notification was served against this amount. On Questioning he said that this cash amount has received from every person who is not account holder of this branch.
Before this I had not seen this prectice at any bank/branch. So please verify that was ligal or otherwise if legal please send me a copy of the Notification/Circular sporting this act. otherwise a legal action must be taken against the said branch.
