This bank (Khanna Branch, Rawalpindi) presents a friendly face when opening an account, but shows its true colours later on. They are presently withholding my money refusing me to withdraw any sums. Granted, there are some issues such as inactivity for a while, but they claim to be following the State Bank’s rules only as an excuse, refuse to accept alternative forms of ID (which are accepted by other banks), and are in breach of their own devised Relationship Contract in respect of the terms for operating a joint account. They were given the opportunity to make amends and allow me to close the account, but they created even further obstacles instead. Other related issues at this branch which may be true for the bank as a whole:
1. Negligence in recording personal particulars.
2. Some unnecessary requirements and procedures, and even irrelevant paperwork (such as whether you have any links with the US).
3. General lack of professionalism in customer services.
