R/Sir,
I am a Govt Officer. My mother had an account in HBL Nowshera Kalan Branch. i visited the said branch to cash a cheque but bank manager refused to cash cheque by saying that i must bring my mother.
later i went back home and took my mother to the bank. My mother being un educated, had thumb impressions on cheque in front of bank person. but i was stunned when the bank manager refused to cash cheque saying that my mother does not knows how much amount was to be withdrawn and that it is fraud.
As i mentioned earlier my mother is not educated and i personally manage the account. The bank manager may be ordered to clear the cash payment and not to suffer us again as i reserve the right to go to Police or court of law on this just issue. The bank personnal has no right to stop cashing cheque particularly when my mother is personally present in the bank and bank manager have verified her identity.
Strict action is recommended against concerned bank manager and staff.
Also it is recommended to provide training to your staff including managers on how to behave with customers.
i am very surprised and stunned on the rude and un just behave of the manager and other staff. i mean how can the manager stop chashing the cheque when my mother is personallly present and her identity is verifired??????
