Subject: OVER BILLING WITH CONDITION OF SUPPLEMENTARY BILL

Respected Sir:

With due respect, it is stated that I, Mr. Irfan Ahmed Siddiqui, Account Number 0400018276710, Consumer No. LB242535, resident of 42/11, Ground Floor-02, Firdous Colony, Nazimabad, Karachi have been paying my electricity bill regularly without any delay since the installation.

02. In the month of July-2018, the bill received was of amount Rs 57136.18/- breakup are as under.

Billing/supplementary Bill Rs, 54,443.67/-
My Electricity Charges for the period Rs. 2,692.67/-
Outstanding Balance Rs. 57,136.18/-

02. The undersigned visited the IBC Nazimabad in August-2018. The inquiry officer informed me that according to the investigation report received, there was a usage of extra phase in the meter and the meter wire was punctured is the reason to charge Supplementary Bill, now you deposit the above consumed units bill Rs. 2,692/- and submit application for checking your house mete and Sanction Load. After investigation of your meter and load bill and it will be adjusted in the bill of next month i.e. September-2018. Therefore, I paid the above month bill i.e. Rs 2,700/- with the approval of RPR IBC Nazimabad presuming that it would be adjusted and corrected in the next month bill.

03. The technical team visit my house and investigate all the thing and inform me No wire puncture here no evidence extra phase usage no discrepancy found here and informed all meter are installed here are have battery problem display off during electricity shutdown your meter will be changed.

04. However, in the next month i.e. SEP-2018, the undersigned received the shocking bill of Rs. 57, 137/- which was to the utmost surprise. The break-up are as under

Outstanding Balance Rs, 57,044.04/-
Amount under Installment Rs.-54,436.18/-
Current Installment Amount Rs.1,500/-
Amount Payable within Due Date Rs.4,108/-

05. Then again visited the IBC Nazimabad in September-2018. The inquiry officer informed me that according to the investigation report received, your meter found faulty now your meter changed. Now you pay your outstanding Balance with monthly instalment Rs. 1500/ with consumed unit’s bill.

06. Sir, the above investigation report was beyond my understanding as the above area is Load-shedding free area and, in case, if any break-down occurs, there is a back-up generator so no question arise of usage of extra phase in the meter no wire puncture found. All the meter are installed here same problem but why charged me Rs.57, 137/-

07. Therefore, I paid the above month bill i.e. Rs 4,108- with instalment amount of Rs 1500/- presuming that it would be refund and corrected in the next month bill.

07. Keeping in view of the above, it is requested to kindly look into the matter and nominate technical team to probe the above problem. I shall be thankful to you.
