Sir: I, as a consumer, (ID: 25079920002) have regularly been paying my gas bills but astonishingly I was asked to pay a sum of Rs 31,343.00 (Billing Month: July 2019) as rebate/adjustment. The bill shows that gas charges are Rs 637.71, meter rent Rs 20.00 and GST Rs 111.81 and Rebate/Adjustment Rs. 31,343.00 totaling Rs. 32,120.00
As against the said amount of Rs 777.00 (excluding Rebate), I have been asked to pay Rs 32,120. I am unable to understand as to what kind of rebate I have been given in the past and what kind of adjustment has been made for the payment of above said amount. No amount is outstanding against me up till now.
The company had entered into an agreement with me for the supply of gas and may I know as to under what provision of the law, rules or regulations, the company is unilaterally, modifying/altering the terms of the said agreement and demanding aforementioned unjustified amount. Anticipation early response as due date is 07 August 2019.
