Some years ago, I was contacted by a Silk Bank representative who offered me a credit card, assuring me that it would be free of cost and without any hidden charges. However, after receiving the card, I began receiving SMS notifications about various charges. When I contacted the representative, I was told that the amount was for the chip card and that once paid, no further charges would apply.

Unfortunately, this was not the case. I continued to receive additional charge notifications. Upon further inquiry, I was told these were activation charges, and again I was assured that no further payments would be required unless I used the card. Despite these repeated assurances, the same pattern of unexpected charges continued.

Now, I have received a message demanding payment of PKR 9,000+, even though I have not used the card and was repeatedly assured that no charges would apply.

This experience has been extremely frustrating and feels like a deliberate attempt to mislead and exploit customers. I respectfully request the immediate cancellation of the credit card and the waiver of all unjustified charges. If this issue is not resolved promptly, I reserve the right to pursue legal action, including filing a fraud case in court and reporting the matter to the Banking Mohtasib Pakistan and the State Bank of Pakistan.

* Get refund / replacement / damages from credit card.
